The developers are reviving designs for the anonymous news hub Zboard that will be based on the privacy-centric blockchain Zcash. The goal is to facilitate independent and uncensored access to free speech media. The platform has plans to also allow encrypted messaging as early as 2018. The CEO of the Electric Coin Company Zooko Wilcox endorsed the project. The project shuttered because of a lack of funding. Now with the renewed interest, Zboard is back and the Zcash Foundation will help it with a $23,000 grant to start the project.
