Simon Morris, a former chief strategy officer at BitTorrent says that Tron will not be able to manage the transaction volume that is needed to tokenize the platform. He was interviewed for the blockchain news website BreakerMag where he explained his stance.
Morris pointed out that while working at BitTorrent, he and his team found out that bringing a token and automated auctions that help prioritize the download queues can even increase the speed of the network by stunning 40 percent. He believes that Tron doesn’t stand a chance in handling the transaction volume by adding:
“You hear all the bulls**t out there, oh, this does 10,000 transactions a second. It’s all crap. We were going to melt TRON. Literally destroy it.”
According to him, Tron is ‘’basically a marketing machine on a very thin veneer of technology.’’
Explaining further, Morris told the interviewer that Tron’s creator Justin Sun is pretty good at marketing but doesn’t have the ‘’technical bone’’ in his body. Morris left BitTorrent last year in July after claiming that he cannot have any trust in the relationship with the Tron executives. He even confronted Sun about the alleged plagiarized code and white paper of Tron when Sun replied:
“We have come to consensus that this did not happen. And we have moved on.”
As he went on explaining, Morris thinks that is highly unlikely that Tron will manage the transactions of BitTorrent on a central server but thinks that without Tron the efficiency of the platform will increase as predicted.
Tron allegedly hired the former Securities and Exchange Commission supervisory attorney as now the first chief compliance officer.
