A Free Airdrop Will Give NEO Token Holders $40 Million Worth Of ONT Tokens

Good news are coming for NEO token holders. According to the latest updates, the token holders at NEO are going to receive $40 million dollars worth of ONT tokens in a free airdrop.

Both being blockchain projects based out of China with their roots tied to Onchain, NEO and ONT are linked to the Shanghai-based blockchain R&D company. While NEO is well-known to the public, Ontology recently launched its main network along with projects such as TRON and EOS – migrating from being an NEP-5 token on the NEO blockchain to its own asset.

According to the NEO Council, all users who were holding NEO on March 2nd would receive 0.1 ONT for every 1 NEO. The statement was announced after Ontology reported that they would donate 100 million ONT (10% of the whole supply) to the NEO Council for “relevant cooperation and support of the community feedback”.

However, NEO recently announced that the second half of the airdrop is already in action – where users will receive an additional 0.1 ONT for every 1 NEO that they hold. A couple of users on Reddit confirmed that they received the airdrop over the weekend.

ONT already airdropped around 1000 ONT (worth $4,000) to all users who signed up for their mailing list and completed the KYC requirements earlier this year.

Meanwhile, NEO is still dubbed as the ‘Ethereum of China’. The organization recently announced that they are entering a “new era of decentralization” which saw a spike in the trading price of NEO.

Airdrops, on the other hand, have always been a great way to accumulate volume and gain popularity- mainly because of their ability to access to a larger crowd and spread awareness about the project.
