The game was developed by a German software company CipSoft and it is a role-playing game in a fantasy-based world which is the first software to run on the Litecoin blockchain using it for all of the interactions. Every move in the game represents a transaction according to the company. Commenting on the game’s impact on LTC, the project director at Litecoin Foundation David Schwartz, said that the past 48 hours proven to be a full-blown experiment on the LTC blockchain:
“Litecoin’s daily numbers are fairly consistent, from hashrate, [transaction] fees, volume, etc. But after the announcement yesterday that LiteBringer was live & built on the LTC blockchain, those numbers changed drastically in some areas.”
The Litecoin Foundation official concluded that the blockchain benefited from the increase in transactions too:
“Ultimately, LiteBringer has provided evidence of a desire for gaming on the blockchain where every move is recorded through [transactions] made in LTC,” Schwartz said. “This in itself shows value beyond the [dollars] & proves the flexibility, cheap fees & speed of Litecoin. This makes us all winners.”
The first Litecoin game LiteBringer launched by the German Software company CipSoft is the first true LTC game with “smart” gameplay that will earn the players LTC tokens. CipSoft said that the title will be the first true litecoin game and the co-founder Ulrich Schlott claimed that the blockchain has an amazing potential to revolutionize gaming. LiteBringer players will be charged with sending the “sorcerers and knights on increasingly difficult quests to gather loot.
