IOTA Acquires Link Labs To Form Large-Scale Wireless Internet Of Things (IoT)

The IOTA Communications Inc., which is a wireless network carrier and a software service company providing Internet of Things solutions to optimize energy efficiency, sustainability and operations for commercial facilities, has announced that it acquired the patented technology from Link Labs Inc. – another leading provider of low power and wide-area network technologies which power the Internet of Things (IoT). As IOTA acquires Link Labs, we could see a lot of new developments in the IoT space in the years to come.

Based in Maryland, the Link Labs company uses patented technology to form large-scale wireless Internet of Things which communicate data with thousands of devices at reduced costs.

What’s interesting in the IOTA news is that Iota Communications Inc. and the IOTA Foundation (standing behind the MIOTA coin) are two different entities – but with a shared vision about the Internet of Things (IoT) industry as a whole.

Effective immediately, the fact that IOTA acquires Link Labs brings a depth of leadership in research and innovation by the founder and CTO of the company, Brian Ray, who has been leading the firm in solving various communications and geolocation problems for the national intelligence community.
