Robinhood added SHIB, alongside Compound’s COMP and Solana’s SOL token to its platform and although there hasn’t been an announcement of the listing, the can be seen on the trading list website. The price of SHIB increased by 6% in the past few hours while MATIC and sOL are both up by 2% over the same timeframe.
Robinhood made moves in the crypto space recently and at the Bitcoin 2022 conference, it announced that it makes more plans to add the Bitcoin Lightning Network to the platform and enable faster BTC transactions. The announcement came six months after Robinhood announced it will develop a wallet feature that enables the users to deposit and withdraw their assets while a beta of the wallet launched back in January and allowed for users to transfer BTC, ETH, SHIB, and DOGE.
As recently reported, The Robinhood shares dropped by 5% while Coinbase was down by 2.5% however, the latter had a very good Q4 while the former didn’t. Goldman Sachs believes they will both underperform relative to the expectations in the first quarter. As both Robinhood and Coinbase shares drop in the prediction, the Goldman analyst Will Nance downgraded the tradign app’s stock from neutral to sell. Coinbase was down by 2.5% after Nance predicted that it will join Robinhood with earnings below expected of the Q1 projections. In reference to Robinhood, Nance noted there’s a decline in broader industry crypto trading volumes.
Robinhood started its operations as a stock trading app but branched later to cryptocurrencies. Users can purchase or sell even different assets on the platform like Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Doge, Ethereum Classic, Ethereum, and Litecoin. Coinbase on the other hand is a crypto firm with 170 coins listed as per the data from CoinMarketCap. The first quarter of 2022 was quit3e underwhelming for crypto prices compared to the volatile 2021 when the price of BTC increased from under $30,000 on New YEar’s to a high above $69,000.
The developers behind the popular meme crypto Shiba Inu revealed some new details of their virtual reality project – the Metaverse. SHIB’s metaverse will feature up to 100K land plots and some of them will remain private. The land plots will be released in phases and the introductory stage will uncloak 36,431 plots that will be divided into four categories: Gold Tail, Silver Fur, Platinum Paw, and Diamond Teeth priced between 0.2 ETH to 1 ETH.
