Dogecoin is a new altcoin that was seen by a lot as a joke currency – and as one that would eventually die. We all know that cryptos are trending now, but that doesn’t mean that any and every coin is meant to exist in the future.

Still, the old joke coin had some bite to it over the past few weeks. Its tenacity has been upheld and strengthened by its great community. If one penny could buy you 3-5 doge earlier this week, now one penny is worth 1 doge respectively.

The only downside to the penny is that Dogecoin works with a fee of one doge per transaction – which is getting costlier and costlier. This is certainly something that needs some work and a correction, especially with the rise of the virtual currency lately.
