The CEO Charles Hoskinson said that he is very glad the community came together to build out a roadmap for the foundation saying that it is the embodiment of independent leadership that this platform wants to install in the users. After two community managers got removed from their positions last week, the ADA community gathered into a Telegram group and talked about the future of the foundation. It now seems that Cardano’s future is in the hands of the community as they discussed how to increase the development and adoption of the network.

In a week, the Telegram group started by the host of the popular YouTube channel Digital Fortress, Rick McCracken, gathered more than 140 members that started discussing the productive ways where the ADA foundation should further go. There are now more than 500 people in the group. The CEO of IOHK, Hoskinson, said that he was quite surprised by the interest that the community has in the project as some of the council members of the foundation also joined the conversation. He said that he expects a few thousand people to join the initiative.

The community started creating new ideas about where to take the ADA foundation in the open-source spreadsheet. The proposals spread out across the rest of the year but focused on other areas such as hardware integration, marketing, social media management, and also financial reports. Analyzing the suggestions, it seems that this month will be spent on researching and defining verticals that will be a point of interest for both the community and the foundation. The community also believes that more efforts should be made to the Voltaire market on social media and online conferences as well.

At the end of the year, the community wants to focus on organizing Cardanocon 2021. When it comes to getting IOHK involved, Hoskinson said that the company has a lot of ideas but the community will be driving the conversation, acknowledging that IOHK could not be involved in the process If the community decides so.
