The Cardano ADA news today show that the popular altcoin has finished the new update of its Daedalus wallet. The Cardano wallet upgrade is now live on the mainnet and comes just days before the Shelley incentivized testnet is set to launch. As officials noted, this update will bring a lot of new features such as an integrated newsfeed and a redesigned user interface.
Previously, we reported that Cardano is getting more and more present in the crypto economy and platforms are apparently embracing it, too. Travala was one of the websites which recently featured Cardano as an official payment option. The new Cardano wallet upgrade comes on top of its already-advanced network which is prepared for the testnet launch named Shelley.
Over the past few weeks, we could also see that Cardano (ADA) has been making a lot of advances. It introduced several new projects and collaborations while preparing for the Shelley launch. The latest change, as we can see, is the Daedalus Cardano wallet upgrade which was officially presented by the company in a blog post.
Aside from the redesigned user interface, the main change that this update brought was the addition of a newsfeed. In short, Daedalus users will now be able to have four different types of news about every last development in the crypto industry – delivered to them directly through the wallet.
On top of this, the Cardano wallet upgrade also introduced a new wallet recovery phrase verification system which will warn and alert users if their recovery phrase has not been verified for long periods of time.
The team said that the goal of this update is to fix issues that users reported with the previous version of Daedalus. Also, to introduce new features and address a lot of issues that users had with the user interface.
The new version (the Cardano wallet upgrade) is named v0.15.0 and comes with improved checks on the available hard drive space. There are also transparent scroll bars which will free up space and reposition icons for external links and copying of clipboard items.
The only problem right now with this update is that users in Japan cannot redeem their vouchers from the ADA pre-sale directly from the Daedalus interface. However, this is expected to be fixed soon as well.
