Despite the fact that the Cardano news recently showed ADA losing more than 10% in a week, we can see that the Cardano Shelley testnet records more than 200 stake pools at press time.
Only a week after the Shelley friends and family testnet opened up to all operators, the parent company IOHK reported that the network’s count of stake pools has surpassed 200.
As the company’s weekly product update shows, this week we will see the implementation of the Shelley functionality within the Daedalus wallet and multiple minor upgrades to KPIs and the overall user experience of the network.
People following the cryptonews know that this period, we are seeing nothing but good news coming out of the Cardano company (IOHK) and the blockchain associated with the cryptocurrency. As Shelley (the era of the network which will improve staking) is thoroughly tested, the company’s weekly product update has continued the streak of positive reviews and the promising launches.
The latest update by the company shows that there has been an overwhelming response from stake pool operators who joined the testnet after a select group of “pioneers” have gone through all of the network’s functions.
After four days as the testnet is live, IOHK reported that there were almost 200 stake pools running on the Cardano Shelley testnet. As the company said:
“But to see this number already is testament to the competency and commitment of the Cardano community and the experience we all gained through the build-out of the ITN in the early part of this year.”
Meanwhile, the CEO of IOHK Charles Hoskinson praised the new operators and the effort that they have put in, saying that as August comes, there will be hundreds of operators running the network. In a few years, as he added, there will be thousands of them.
In August, hundreds of operators like these will be running Cardano. In a few years, thousands also with Hydra channels, Oracles and dozens of other decentralized services. That's true decentralization, resilience and progress. Thanks Ouroboros https://t.co/Liu4StCmyP

Once the pioneers tested out features such as creating new wallets and funding pledge addresses, ADA holders will be able to try out the new wallet. Anyways, the Cardano Shelley Testnet records more stake pools and we can see that the improvements are multiple and visible on the network.
Aside from the wallet, minor updates on the Node CLI and Cardano-db-sync have been made. The next week will mark the beginning of a migration towards a testnet which everyone can get involved with, as IOHK said in the product update.
