As the year comes to an end, the editors at our DC Forecasts crypto news site have decided to share the key developments in the field of blockchain during the past 12 months.
To begin with, we have Walmart and its filing for a blockchain patent which paved the way to future developments in the field. The patent was originally filed on December 14th this year and made public after that. What will come off from it still remains to be seen.
The Change Healthcare organization also made enterprise blockchain technology available. The vendor first injected its Intelligent Healthcare Network with the open source blockchain tool Hyperledger Fabric 1.0 in order to bring transparency and efficiency for better audibility, traceability and trust.
Third on our list is Amazon with its blockchain initiative, where the retail giant announced blockchain templates and the first versions being reserved for finance and healthcare. With this, the platform wants to make it easier to create blockchain projects and networks using open source technology.
