As you could see in many occasions on our DC Forecasts crypto news site, we have covered the topic of blockchain and the need for expert blockchain developers all around the world. In a latest survey-based report done by Computer World, the numbers are even greater.
To sum things up, this report shows that blockchain developers are right now earning more than they were six months ago. The annual pay for blockchain developers is now in the highest bracket, increased by over $4,000 according to the survey.
Currently, the median annual pay for blockchain developers is $132,000 while experienced developers earn even more – up to $176,000 especially when they change employers. This puts blockchain developers and their salaries among the top of the IT jobs, right next to data scientists, database managers, ERP data architects and ERP data engineers, all ranking above blockchain developers.
According to the tech recruitment firm Hired, the job postings for blockchain-related jobs had risen by 400%. The job site Glassdoor also disclosed that job postings related to crypto and distributed ledger technology had risen by 300%.
Last month, the professional social network site LinkedIn reported that blockchain development was the biggest growing field on their platform, revealing job listings for software engineers with the capacity to develop distributed ledgers and their 33-time increase in 2018.
