Blockchain-related job offerings seem to be most popular in the United States according to research by TheNextWeb that was published yesterday and we are reading more about it on our blockchain news today.
Per the report, the United States is the leader in blockchain job offerings after data was collected from the recruiting site Glassdoor when the term ‘’blockchain’’ was typed into the search box.
The results show that the United States has about 2.616 of the total 5,711 blockchain jobs offerings that were published on the website from across the world. United Kingdom comes second after the US with 1,015 jobs posted while India is at number three with 257 vacancies.
‘’Blockchain Engineer’’ seems to be the most common job posted on Glassdoor and positions such as ‘’Senior Software Engineer’’ and ‘’Blockchain Developer’’ come right after the engineer positions. TNW also compiled a list of multiple companies that offer blockchain-related jobs where the IBM computing giant offers the highest number of blockchain jobs and is followed right after Big Four auditing company Ernst & Young. The third position belongs to the company Oracle.
Among the top 10 companies, three of them are related to digital currencies including Wirex.com, Foris Limited, and Crypto.com. Ripple, for example, is on the 17th position and the blockchain software tech firm ConsenSys is on number 13.
Earlier in February, the recruitment company Hired released another report that shows that the global demand for blockchain engineers is up by almost 519 percent since 2017. The same month, major industry players said that the adoption of blockchain technology is still far away from mainstream adoption but that the technology has found its practical use.
