Major exchange service and wallet provider Coinbase finds itself again in our blockchain news for launching an educational project that will help users to earn cryptocurrency and learn about while doing so.
This idea was announced on their official blog by pointing out that:
“One of the biggest barriers preventing people from exploring a new digital asset was a lack of knowledge about that asset. Many of the people we surveyed expressed a strong desire to begin learning about new and different crypto assets beyond Bitcoin, but didn’t know where to begin.”
Coinbase has created an invite-only mode that mainly focuses on ERC-20 and 0x token so users can understand more about a certain digital asset before trying to use it. They continued to explain that after a conducted survey, they found that solving the knowledge problem about a digital asset can advance the education and even allow users that earn small amounts to earn bigger ones when they complete an educational task.
The new educational project won’t even require the computing power or the buying power to the users can obtain information or crypto as well.

The funding for the project is currently coming from the 0x external development pool and according to Coinbase, the funding in the future will be obtained by other parties, not by the asset developers themselves.
Coinbase is not the only big player that tries to tackle education. Binance has also launched a collection of educational content with more than 500 articles in order to provide unbiased information about crypto.
