Having a new product that allows you to use cryptocurrencies is always a good topic for our crypto news and for that reason today we have Eligma which is a startup dedicated to blockchain advocacy created its latest version of Elipay- an app that will be used as a payment method using cryptocurrencies.
Elipay offers immediate payments with the preferred cryptocurrency, free transfers between the users who already have the app and easily see your transaction history and loyalty rewards.
In Slovenia, more than 240 places accept Elipay and now shoppers have it easier to find places that can spend their cryptocurrencies. Users can use the app in different stores and service providers and you can even save your favorite places for which you will have all the necessary data such as opening and closing hours, discounts and new arrivals.
You can download the app from the Google Play App Store. Users are now able to make payments using Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash but also the special ELI token.
Eligma, the company behind the app says that the platform is being accepted by many venues from hotels to bars and restaurants in Slovenia.
Slovenia is on its way to becoming the new crypto hub because according to Eligma, the country has one of the highest concentrations of crypto-friendly locations per capita. Though Ljubljana is one of the most crypto-friendly cities in Slovenia, Elipay is getting used well beyond the capital.
The goal of the company behind the app is to bring crypto into the mainstream and hopes to get close to a credit and debit card integration into the app. The company also hopes to provide the public with the opportunity to try a new approach to shopping without having to know the mechanics of blockchain.
