The United States IT firm AMD, known as Advanced Micro Devices, has recently joined the Blockchain Game Alliance and forged two partnerships that will help its expand its technology and its use in the industry.
An official announcement came from a December 12 press release which revealed that the chip manufacturing giant is partnering with the blockchain technology providers Robot Cache and ULTRA – both of which are now working to develop and operate new blockchain based online gaming markets. The IT firm AMD joins these marketplaces and the initiative to establish new and safe purchase options as well as distribution channels for game publishers and users.

AMD has commented on the news and said that its CPU and GPU technology will serve as a powerful motor for compute-intensive blockchain and gaming workloads. The hardware manufacturer also said that it will provide security protection to help protect the digital content from a range of online attack vectors.
Before this, the IT firm AMD outstripped its market expectations and reported significant gross margin expansion as its Ryzen and EPYC processor and datacenter GPU revenue have more than doubled year-over-year.
