Coca-Cola, one of the biggest beverage companies in the world, claimed to have airdropped surprise NFTs to the owners of its previous Polygon collections. To commemorate International Friendship Day, the new NFT collection seeks to increase fan devotion (IFD).
The NFTs were made by the virtual avatar company Tafi. The company’s traditional bottle drink is the inspiration for these generative arts. It also features motion and a variety of color palettes.
According to the report, the NFTs do not reveal themselves. The company added a special feature to these NFTs before users could see them.
Before the NFT would manifest, its owners would need to share it with a friend. However, Coca-Cola has not yet released any NFTs that is based on utility.
The beverage company did claim that benefits and awards would soon be available to NFT members. This also covers access to Coca-Cola Creations product launches, gaming events, and experiences powered by the Coca-Cola Studio.

The statement also mentioned events for International Singles Day in November and the Halloween festivities in October. It’s unclear whether this activation results in more NFTs than before for different functions.
