China’s First Blockchain Initiative Launches International Website

China’s first blockchain initiative backed by the Government has just launched an official international website as we are reading more in the blockchain latest news.

The blockchain-based Service Network which is China’s first blockchain initiative has launched an international website and there’s even an English-version of the website which aims to help bring global developers to the project. He Yifan, the CEO of Red Date Technology which is the private company as a founding member of the BSN explained that the new website allows developers to use BSN services and public Chain services via the new platform.

As a part of the new global effort, the BSN features live integration of six public chains such as EOS, Nervos, Tezos, NEO, Ethereum, and IRISnet. This allows developers to create a decentralized application and to run the nodes through the data storage and bandwidth across the world BSN data centers. According to the new website, the BSN project plans to launch the so-called Interchain Communication Hub via IRITA interchain services and the Chainlink decentralized network in October 2020.

The new website features a small number of major global tech and blockchain companies as BSN partners. Amazon and Google are listed as the main cloud service providers while Hyperledger is noted as the permissioned blockchain supplier:

 “We have good support from several of the major cloud service providers because they really like the idea and vision of BSN.”

First piloted in 2019, China’s BSN network is a government-backed blockchain initiative that was positioned to help smaller businesses build and deploy blockchain apps on permissioned blockchains. The program was launched in April 2020 for commercial use. China’s BSN unveiled its plan to connect more than 100 public blockchains this year and as Red Date Technology reported, there are plans to roll out this network across the world. BSN announced support for EOS, Nervos, Tezos, NEO, and many more as Yifan He revealed.

The BSN is supported by the Chinese government and aims to provide the developers with the needed tools to create blockchain applications and acting as a blockchain hosting platform for smaller businesses and individuals. BSN already made a huge impact since the initial rollout with more than 6000 customers. Most of the users are governmental organizations, people based in China, businesses, and managers of supply chains. He revealed that Red Date has a goal to push out BSN on a global scale so that everyone can create a decentralized app without having to publish offerings on siloed platforms.
