However now, Amazon explores crypto payments and even listed a job posting for a Digital Currency and Blockchain product lead to creating a new vision and roadmap for the new payment products.
A statement shared with media outlets by an Amazon spokesperson fanned flames by suggesting the world’s biggest online retailer is considering enabling crypto payments:

The posting outlined a preference for applicants with decentralized finance and suggested that AWS could be working on more capabilities for protocols that leverage blockchain technology to offer financial products without intermediaries. Amazon’s FinTech team was looking for a Senior Software Engineer working on a financial ledger and reconciliation system to provide data transparency on transactional data.
