You Can Now Get A Blockchain-Based Scholarship In Malta!

The University of Malta announced its partnership with Malta Information Technology Agency and they both delivered a great solution for future students by establishing a $351,000 blockchain and distributed ledger technology scholarship fund.

This scholarship can be used by students that choose to study information and communication technology, finances, engineering and even law and will be split over 3 years. In the following academic year, students can apply for the scholarship and can use it for their Master’s degree and Ph.D. dissertations.

Malta is already known as the best place in the world for crypto enthusiasts, and this is why the government decided to attract even more companies to Malta in order to ensure sufficient staffing capacity. The digital economy parliamentary secretary of Malta believes that this way Maltese graduates will bring easier access to students and thus eventually holding important positions in a certain field. Silvio Schembri has tweeted that he was honored to have spearheaded the legislation through the Parliament of Malta, expressing gratitude to all who had collaborated on the project. On top of this, he announced that Mr. Stephen McCarthy will be the new CEO of the Malta Digital Innovation Authority.
