Iota is a rather new Cryptocurrency that was released in May last, and it showed tremendous effort in possibly replacing Bitcoin.
It is very similar to Bitcoin, but instead using a blockchain technology, it uses something that is called “Tangle”. Tangle seems to be more efficient than any other blockchain technology and offered many solutions that Bitcoin doesn’t.
IOTA is better at some things compared to Litecoin and Bitcoin but most remarkable is that it is very easily integrated into all programming languages. So whether your device uses Python or Java it doesn’t matter. IOTA is created so it can work with all of the programming languages. All the other companies such as Bitcoin or Litecoin need to remake their system so they can work with all the other programming languages.
Also, IOTA transactions are differently verified. Iota is verified when you make transactions yourself and for each and every one transaction you make, two that are behind the first one are verified with your own electricity.
Of course, this is only a brief expose of what these three cryptocurrencies can or can’t offer, and in which one you decide to invest in, you should always double check every information and do a more detailed reading.
When talking about IOTA – Ethereum relations, ethereum developers argued that Tangle just sounds good in theory but in practice is about to hit a few practical issues and this will lead to not solving the problems effectively.
In contrary to this, Ethereum has had a few problems itself mainly with the scalability.
This is because ethereum depends on its nodes and each one store every transaction, so if developers were to raise the size of a block so it can fit more transactions, the larger it grows it will kick people off the network, and only some companies will be able to use it. But Ethereum works really hard on solving this problem.
