38-year old Tjeerd H., a bitcoin trader from the Netherlands was attacked in his home by a group of robbers according to the crypto news coming from local news outlet De Telegraaf reported two days ago.
The group was disguised as the police and violently raided his home in Drouwenerveen on February 10th. They were wearing black balaclavas and bulletproof vests with police coat fully resembling the original police and threatened him by using firearms.

Stealing and attacking crypto traders has become a huge threat over the past two years but also online threats and hack attacks have been growing in magnitude as well. Traders are forced into depositing a certain amount of digital currency into multiple anonymous wallets and are left with nothing.
Back in 2018, another burglary happened to a Russian Businessman who used to trade bitcoin while he was on a holiday in Phuket, Thailand. He was held hostage while he was logged into his computer and the thieves made him transfer about $100,000 BTC to them.
Also in 2018, the Criminal Investigation Department in Gujarat, India worked on an alleged kidnapping and extortion case where a businessman was attacked and forced to transfer about $770,000 but hasn’t specified what kind of cryptocurrency he was forced to transfer.
