The latest integration will enable the Shopify merchants in the US to receive faster and also cheaper BTC payments via the layer 2 scaling solution the Bitcoin lightning network. The digital payments platform Strike announces Shopify integration in a bid to enable the merchants to accept BTC payments as US Dollars. As per the recent announcement, the integration will enable the merchants to accept payments and cut costs in terms of processing fees while still offering an alternative to traditional options.

This can help Shopify to tap unexplored global markets and purchasing power while allowing the merchants to generate savings in the low-cost processing. So far, the LA brand Warren Lotas is the only merchant partner onboarded by the company. Mallers also announced a Strike partnership with Blackhawk Network that boasts 400,000 storefronts and 37,000 partners like eBay, Disney, Facebook, Visa, and Amazon.

In another push for LN, Robinhood’s Chief Product Officer Aparna Chennapragada revealed that the company will add support for BTC tranactions on LN in the near future and this is only an integration a part of the strategy to minimize the costs that are incurred by the users in the digital asset transfer. BitPay also announced integrating Bitcoin’s LN into the platform earlier this week.
