As of lately, there were some raised fingers pointed at Elon Musk being the mysterious creator of bitcoin. Many people have said that Musk could well hold the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto – however, the Tesla founder and CEO has denied those claims.
Musk’s assertions mostly came in response to a blog post that was circling around on Medium. The post was published on the platform last week, basing the main argument around Musk’s technical expertise and comparing him with the US inventor Benjamin Franklin who also published things under a pseudonym.
As the blog’s author Sahil Gupta said in the post:
“If Elon is Satoshi, it seems like this knowledge would become public at some point anyway,” Gupta wrote. “But if it were public now, Elon could offer guidance as the currency’s ‘founding father.’”
However, in a tweet, Musk denied all the allegations, saying that he doesn’t even know where his bitcoins are nowadays.

As Bitcoin continues growing, many people are excited to see who the founder behind this digital currency is. However, that will likely remain a mystery mostly because of the unsettled regulations and the authorities who find it hard to regulate this virtual currency.
At this point, it seems like the world will never know the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto (the pseudonymous author of the bitcoin). The name appears on top of the original document that proposed bitcoin as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
However, the speculations over bitcoin’s start will never stop – just like the conversations in mainstream markets where traders and miners have their say on Bitcoin’s founder. Everyone wants to know who Nakamoto truly is nowadays. However, in times when Bitcoin is rapidly growing, we need to think more about investing in it rather than circulating tell-tale stories.
