The renowned Author of American-Indian descent Deepak Chopra considers buying Bitcoin and he announced the launch of his own blockchain-based token. In today’s bitcoin latest news, we are reading more about his opinion on buying BTC.
The renowned author Deepak Chopra who writes on meditation, healing, and mindfulness, and healthy living, he considers buying bitcoin. Chopra is also about to launch “Love in Action” as his own blockchain-based token before purchasing Bitcoin. it’s important to note that he was already stoked the ire of ETH bigwigs about two years ago for being announced as a speaker at the Ethereal conference in New York back in 2018. Vitalik Buterin himself blasted him with a “fraud” opinion on Twitter but the talk went well according to the writer.
This year, the globally revered public speaker announced that he has plans to launch his own token. The book “Love in Action” and its launch will coincide with Suicide Prevention Week. As his foundation stated, the token is a “worldwide campaign to heal the world.” When the ex-United States regulator turned blockchain regulation commentator Jason Bretts discussed the technical details about the token:
“We are currently working on our strategic roadmap for the ‘Love In Action’ token. Our goal is to leverage the ‘proof of state/work’ on the Hedera platform to incentivize healthy behaviors and promote wellbeing via the token. We will initially leverage hbar as the currency and convert to our own coin in the latter part of 2021.”
Taking cues from Chopra’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, Jason commented on the idea of Deepak sending BTC to the celebrity talk show host. He contemplated mass adoption that was sparked by the one event alone, recalling his prime goal to convince the guru into buying Bitcoin. When the Value Technology Foundation President asked the writer about his BTC holdings he replied:
“I have not bought any Bitcoin to date, but have been keen on cryptocurrency and how it can be used.”
The writer also said that he doesn’t own any digital coins as the native token of the blockchain protocol which will power his DLT project. Brett noted that it is not necessarily for everyone to purchase BTC or any other crypto for that matter. It can also be about leveraging the technology for social good which in Chopra’s case involves improving people’s mental health. The ex-consenSys Policy Ambassador appreciated the writers’ efforts at utilizing Blockchain to help people live a better life:
“To the degree blockchain can be used by mental health professionals – or any professional – to help validate the truth of a person’s certification or to validate a person’s well-being seems like an excellent use of it.”
