Pizza Hut in Venezuela, started accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a payment method, thanks to the new partnership with Cryptobuyer so let’s find out more in today’s BTC news.
Thanks to the endless number of economic sanctions imposed on Venezuela by the United States and also the many terrible policies imposed by the Venezuelan government, the people started to love Bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies. This is why, this week, Pizza Hut, one of the oldest pizza chains in the country started accepting Bitcoin and other crypto-assets as a payment method. Pizza Hut’s customers can now choose to pay for their orders with cryptocurrency which would be the first time ever for a franchise to start accepting any kind of crypto payments.
Pizza Hut’s decision was made possible thanks to the new partnership with the Latin American crypto payments company CryptoBuyer. The startup was among the very few businesses in terms of promoting crypto assets in Venezuela while having many achievements as the launch of the first BTC satellite node and the installation of BTC ATMs as well as the collaboration with popular retailers in the country.
Thanks to Crypto Buyer, Pizza Hut will join the growing list of companies that started accepting cryptocurrencies as a way to improve their finances. Other Venezuela corporations embarked on the BTC trading like Traki, which is the biggest department store in the country that created a division for cryptocurrencies but was also the first store to accept the official crypto of Venezuela, the Petro, and the first big store to accept crypto assets. Other stores that joined the Bitcoin bandwagon were Burger King, Venezuelan Gas stations, and Tamanaco Hotel Chains as well as Farmarato Pharmacies. It now seems that Venezuelans were asking for BTC or innovation so Pizza Hut was eager to listen.
The General Director for Venezuelan operations said that the franchise was looking to evolve and go with the fast pace of technological innovations:
“Thanks to our consumers, to the suggestions they offer us and to the direct contact we have with them, we have made alliances with Delivery, with large companies like Coca-Cola and today we are handling alliances with Cryptobuyer as a payment option for the customer, incorporating platforms and their technological advice.”
The new partnership will allow Pizza Hut to accept BTC, ETH, DASH, BNB, USDT, LTC, and DAI as well as Cryptobuyers’ native token XPT.
