The well-known Bitcoin advocate Peter McCormack was denied to test for coronavirus and says he is sick at home for 10 days. The British Prime Minister assured the public that his government will do anything to protect the people and fight the virus but according to McCormack, this is not true. Let’s find out what is really going in on the crypto news below.
The governments around the world are now worried because of the pandemic while some went on immediate lockdowns. Others, however, enjoyed crowded bars and disco clubs which is where the virus has spread the fastest. With this magnitude of spreading, it is clear now that the cases are out of control and governments from the US and UK are trying to help their citizens.
Italians are now facing the biggest crises that have happened in the past 20 years in which they were forced to choose which patients live and which die. As for the main advice by the world health organization, is that testing is the key factor in fighting the spread as the Director-General Tedros Adhanom said:
‘’You cannot fight a fire blindfolded… We have a simple message for all countries, test, test test.’’
However, the majority of these people still have common colds and not test themselves. While Peter McCormack was denied testing, he wanted to see if he was infected. He wrote:
‘’10th day sick. Haven’t spent 10 days sick total in the last few years. New UK Gov guidance means another 7 days in isolation + son is off school. They still won’t test me so I’ll not know whether or not I had the virus.’’
McCormack lives in the UK which is a country with a bad reputation for testing the virus. The government’s chief scientific adviser Sir Patric Vallance, said that the country was in the ‘’top three of four countries in terms of testing’’ but more and more people are getting denied similarly as McCormack. To be clear the lack of testing is not a problem only limited to the United Kingdom. It appears that COVID-19 testing is insufficient in most of the countries.
