The 2020 NBA All Star game is nearing and as voting has opened for it, fans are now able to decide the players that they wish to see take the court. There is even an opportunity for the league’s biggest Bitcoin proponent to take to the court during this prestigious weekend. We are talking about the NBA star Spencer Dinwiddie, who plays point guard for the Brooklyn Nets and is seen as one of the biggest Bitcoin proponents out there.
The 26-year old basketball star is known in the crypto news for his investments in Bitcoin since 2017 and his thoughts on Bitcoin. The NBA star has been a vocal advocate of the most dominant coin ever since then.
However, Dinwiddie is not the only person who is actively promoting Bitcoin and an NBA star which we could see pushing the cryptocurrency to new heights. As we previously reported, the LA Chargers’ offensive tackle Russel Okung is a star from another sport who has so far hosted his own Bitcoin conference.
Meanwhile, there is also the NBA team Sacramento Kings which started a cryptocurrency mining initiative from within their high-tech stadium. The NBA star Spencer Dinwiddie of the Brooklyn Nets, however, is currently in the process of organizing the tokenization of his own contract as reported by Forbes. He describes himself as “a tech guy with a jumper” and has been actively promoting various investment opportunities related to Bitcoin.
In a video which he posted to his Twitter account recently, the NBA star stated that despite the previous objections from the league, he was going ahead with the launch of the security tokens which represent his current contract. This sale will begin on January 13 as reports show.

This date is significant not only because of the launch of the Spencer Dinwiddie bond, but also because it marks one week left of voting on who will represent each team during the hyped NBA All Star game.
Analysts saw the newest update as an opportunity to comment about the NBA star. One of them was Anthony Pompliano, who was in the Bitcoin news for commenting and directly replying to the NBA star in a tweet, motivating people to collectively support him.
Let's see what the true power of Bitcoin Twitter is.@SDinwiddie_25 has been a big proponent of Bitcoin within the NBA and with his fellow players.
The NBA All-Star game voting is happening right now.
Can we collectively vote him in?!https://t.co/dhelmuNmRN
