John McAfee Launches “Bitcoin Play” App For Android Users

The creator of the widely-used McAfee antivirus and a popular crypto evangelist, John McAfee, has recently launched a new app named “Bitcoin Play”. On May 4, the app was unveiled  in the latest cryptocurrency news – right when McAfee shared that it is now available for Android users on Google Play to his 900,000 followers.

According to the crypto millionaire, the Bitcoin Play app has a “family friendly option” as well as a separate version for adult users which features his “voice cursing [at the users] ineptitude.” The Bitcoin Play app allows users to earn Bitcoin (BTC) which is the flagship cryptocurrency while answering trivia questions. John McAfee apparently created the app so that he tests the knowledge of history, sports, general knowledge, entertainment and other fields by responding to “challenging multiple-choice” questions.

The app’s trivia game is designed in the typical format of a “quiz game” where users are rewarded in satoshis (which is the smallest unit of the Bitcoin currency registered on the blockchain) – sent directly to their crypto wallets. As noted by the development team led by John McAfee, the app “contains thousands of questions from various categories with new questions added every update.”

On top of that, the app allows users to “compete against other users in John McAfee’s Weekly Competition League and [have the chance to] win extra rewards and prizes.”

For users who are 18 or older, there is an option where they can enable John McAfee’s commentary (in adult language) so that people “can hear what he thinks of their performance.” While playing Bitcoin Play, the payout amount will increase as users correctly answer the questions – along with the difficulty level of questions. The trivia game also demands users to think fast and answer the questions in 10 seconds.

So far, users have given John McAfee’s app a 4.8 star rating on Google Play. As many best cryptocurrency news sites noted, most of the comments suggest that the app is a “fun way to get into crypto” and that it is “very addictive” including its 18+ version.
