Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams who played Arya Stark in the popular TV series, asked on a poll on Twitter whether she should go long on Bitcoin and more than 900,000 people voted. About 500,000 of the voters told her not to go long on Bitcoin but seemingly she did the opposite thing so let’s read more about it in the latest bitcoin news.

The 23-year old actress wrote on Twitter and asked her 3 million followers whether or not she should buy Bitcoin. the community didn’t disappoint as more than 900,000 people voted Elon Musk was among the first to offer his opinion and there were many others who followed like Mike Novogratz, Barry Silbert, and Justin Sun, all urging her to buy BTC. However, the opponents of Bitcoin prevailed despite the best efforts from the community as 53% of the 902,304 votes told her not to buy Bitcoin.

However, after the poll ended, Williams updated her followers and thanked all participants for the advice as she ended up buying Bitcoin anyway. Bitcoin showed some volatility in the moments after Williams bought it but in the past few hours alone, BTC skyrocketed to a new yearly high of $18,500 before consolidating to $17,400. The crypto community stayed true to itself and posted hundreds of answers as well as a few Game of Thrones references and memes. Some even welcomed her to the BTC family while others got more creative and referred to iconic parts of the TV series saying:
“A girl has no name, but a girl has bitcoin.”
The chief strategy officer of Blockstream Samson Mow, used another reference, paraphrasing the line: “What do we say to the God of Death?- Not Today”, by changing it to “What Do we Say to NoCoiners?- Not Today.” Other community members speculated that the latest BTC purchase will prepare the striving actress for more upcoming economic hurdles because of the global events that were prompted by the COVID19 pandemic. As recently reported, Alan Masters, financial consultant, and analyst asserts that Bitcoin is the flagship cryptocurrency that could hit $30,000 by May 2022, citing an anecdotal technical indicator to support his bullish outlook.
