Drake netted $381,000 from Super Bowl BTC bets as the LA Rams battled back to beat the Cincinnati Bengals so let’s read further in today’s latest Bitcoin news.
Leading up to the big game, Drake made three major bets using BTC holdings which is a sum of $1.6 million CAD and he bet $600,000 that the favored Rams will win over Cincinnati. The winning bet netted $306,000 which is about 5.65 BTC at today’s prices. Drake’s other bets were more interesting however as per the post from his Instagram which he placed another $500,000 on Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr and scored one touchdown throughout the game with a final $500,000 on the player netting 62.5 receiving yards. Beckham actually scored the game’s first touchdown and won Drake another $575,000 but he was then forced from the game because of an injury and didn’t eclipse the receiving yard’s total.
Beckham is also a strong BTC supporter and he recieved his entire $4.25 million salary in crypto last year while hosting a $1 million BTC giveaway with Cash App. His Super bowl was cut short this year but he was able to celebrate it with joyful tears coming from his team’s victory. Despite not hitting his final prop bet, Drake netted $381,000 from his bet and he used a crypto sports betting site called Stake to facilitate the six-figure wagers. He has made similar bets in the past before on the same sites, often amounting to millions in CAD.
Drake was not the only viewer away with additional crypto on Sunday. Coinbase offered $15 in free BTC to new signups as a promotion that proved popular enough to crash the site, while FTX hosted a giveaway of 7.54 BTC to their Twitter followers based on when the game had happened.

As reported, Drake placed a BTC bet worth $472,000 for the LA rams to win against the Bengals and the rapper also seemed to be behind Odell Beckham Junior who is a wide receiver for the LA Rams, and bet $393,825 on the footballer to have more than 62.5 receiving yards. The Canadian celebrity staked another chunk of cash on Beckham to catch a touchdown. Back in November, the American footballer announced that he will also receive his NFL salary in BTC after a partnership with CashApp.
