The latest cryptocurrencies news are apparently spreading all over the world – and not just online – but also in the mainstream media. This month, we can see that there are more and more crypto advertisements being streamed on national TV channels across France and Switzerland.
This is obviously an attempt to promote the crypto industry as a whole. France’s biggest TV network aired a Bitcoin (BTC) related advertisement this week, and a Swiss newspaper also published a full page spread on cryptocurrencies.
The Bitcoin news in France emerged when Keplerk last month relaunched a program which allows its customers to buy BTC in thousands of French tobacco retailers. In order to promote this campaign, Keplerk created a 18-second television ad and the French Twitter users report that this is being aired several times per day on TF1, which is France’s most popular TV network. With an average market share of 24%, the television and its crypto advertisements are likely to trigger interest in the French audience.

The company has previously created another ad which shows a man buying BTC – and which is one of the most popular crypto advertisements in the country. The Keplerk QR code-powered service was promoted in the video.
Meanwhile, just across the border, we can see that Switzerland’s weekly newspaper Handelszeitung published a page long guide to cryptocurrencies named “Crypto for Dummies” and reports show that the paper’s coverage is currently 77,000 people.
The feature which can be found online is one of the biggest newspaper crypto advertisements and a step-by-step walkthrough for beginner investors who want to buy Ethereum tokens. You can also read it here.
In it, the author makes a remarkable call to action and writes:
“Discover for yourself that cryptocurrency is not just a speculative phenomenon, but also an amazing piece of technology that lets you gain and control assets and money on your phone – without relying on banks or other companies.”
Obviously, this is not the first time crypto advertisements went viral in the media. Before this, many media outlets in Europe (and the rest of the world) have promoted cryptocurrencies or educated their readers about the value that they hold.
