Changpeng Zhao, who is the head and CEO of Binance, has recently hinted at the creation of a new fiat-to-crypto exchange in Argentina. In a tweet that made the daily cryptocurrency news sent by him on March 9th, CZ replied to a piece published by the crypto news website CoinSpice.
The article (which CZ replied to with the tweet) talked about the agreement between the government of Argentina with Binance Labs, the exchange’s investment as well as the social impact arm to co-invest in blockchain projects that are backed by the exchange.
Zhao’s comment contained in the tweet was based on Binance and its plans to establish a fiat-to-crypto exchange in Argentina. As the tweet noted:
“Guess where we will have a new fiat-to-crypto exchange?”
There are now more and more reports that Binance is planning to launch fiat-to-crypto exchanges in eight countries – one of which is Argentina – according to a spokesperson from the exchange. Even though the spokesperson hinted at the creation of these exchanges, he also declined to confirm six of the alleged locations, only confirming the plans for Singapore and Malta.
