Following the pilot period, BitMEX introduces a new bitcoin trading app which is now available in 140 countries with account security being the main focus as well as biometric authentication. The exchange announced the release of BitMEX mobile offering the users with a crypto exchange a mobile trading platform as the app can be downloaded via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
The release of the new app is a part of the crypto exchange’s recent push to create a new user experience on the crypto exchange. The app is now available in 140 countries as BitMEX mobile intends to provide the users full control of the account features as the commercial Ben Radclyffe the commercial director of 100x Group said:
“Our global audience, many of them are mobile first, so having an innate mobile application that allows them to access our product and our services should help increase our user base.”
The mobile app provides the users with six new features as the intuitive order builder feature enables the traders to create limits and to stop and take profit orders. This ability to swipe on any page will provide support for the users to manage their open positions. Deposits and withdrawals will be possible over the app interface. The mobile app will provide access to real-time market data as well as push notifications that will provide the users with information about the pending deposits, deposit confirmation, and liquidation among others.
The improvements to user security were addressed as the login notifications and biometric authentication was included in the app as well. The release of the new BitMEX app will pilot a rollout period that included 18 countries as Radclyffe said:
“Feedback so far has been excellent, we’re already live now in 140 countries as of the middle of last week.”
The app is designed to be complementary with the traditional desktop experience that is offered to the BitMEX users:
“If you’ve ever tried using any of these platforms through a Chrome browser on a tiny screen, it’s a slightly degraded experience as you can imagine.”
