One of the most popular cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturers, Ledger, has plenty in store when it comes to features. As the company confirmed through their PR representative in the latest crypto news, Bitcoin selling along with more features are coming on the platform soon.
We recently reported about Ledger launching a cryptocurrency buying option directly on their Ledger Live application. However, the manufacturer is planning an accompanying selling option but it is unknown when will that take place.
“We can confirm that Ledger will be releasing a selling feature soon,” confirmed a Ledger PR representative.
The currently available crypto buy feature is operated by the virtual currency platform Coinify, allowing users to buy Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Dash (DASH) with credit cards or bank transfers.
Still, the announcement also shows that besides the Bitcoin selling feature, the Stellar (XLM) and Tether (USDT) coins will also be available “soon.” The representative literally confirmed that there will be more coins coming along the way, noting that there will be “more cryptos than Stellar and Tether available.”
For those of you who don’t know, XLM and USDT are coming to both buy and sell options. However, the company did not disclose the timing at this point. Currently, as per the announcement of the crypto buy feature states, there is a 4.5% fee for credit card users and 1.7% one for bank transfers on the platform.
If you visit the official Ledger website and this page specifically, you will see that buying crypto assets on the platform is easy. They work with their partner Coinify and support buying BTC, ETH, BCH, and DASH with a credit card, debit card, or bank transfer.
As the website notes, before you start you should:
- Set up Ledger Live with your Ledger device.
- Make sure your Ledger device has the latest firmware version.
- Update Ledger Live to at least version 2.5.0.
Once all of this is done, you should create your account, verify your identity and buy your coins. If you need further help, you can reach out to Coinify’s help center or support teams.
All of this shows that Bitcoin selling is getting more popular in the Bitcoin news now – and it won’t be too long until a new giant in the cryptocurrency space rolls out a similar feature.
