These days, Bitcoin is more than just a trending topic. The buzz behind it came from its massive surge – the virtual currency rose to $11,500 from $8,000 in less than 2 months. This made many people raise their eyebrows and many investors to consider investing in bitcoin.
In parallel, bitcoin triggered a lot of institutions and made them review the entire cryptocurrency history and everything that is related to it. Officially, bitcoin is being monitored by the White House and the authorities have confirmed that in the press.

According to the press secretary of the White House Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Bitcoin is being monitored by their team. In an interview with BuzzFeed, she also added that Homeland Security is specifically working on the case.
In her own words: “In terms of specific briefings and announcements on it, I don’t have anything that I can share with you right now,” Sanders said. “Tom Bossert, with the Homeland Security team, an advisor to the president, has brought this up in a meeting earlier this week,” she said. “I know this is something he is keeping an eye on.”
In another interview, the billionaire hedge fund manager and bitcoin bull named Mike Novogratz told Fox Business Network’s Countdown to the Closing Bell that he believes that bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency will be treated favorably.
As Novogratz said: “I think Ms. Sanders probably had prepared for the question and I’m sure Homeland Security is looking at it, the Treasury has looked at it, the Fed has looked at it.” With this, Mike Novogratz definitely pointed to the White House regarding the entire cryptocurrency regulation and predicted interesting movements in its future.
Knowing Trump’s proclivity on discussing current news on Twitter, it may not be long until the US President tweets something about Bitcoin in his own style.
