Bitcoin Maintained $46K While Terra Soared 9% To New ATH

Bitcoin maintained $46K while Terra soared 9% to reach a new high a few days after the previous record, with NEAR Protocol and Cosmos also making some impressive gains on the day so let’s read more in today’s latest BTC news.

Bitcoin maintained $46K and calmed once again while some other altcoins reduced the dominance over the market with some strogn gains. Terra is among those as LUNA surged by almost 10% in one day and charted a new high close to $120. Most altcoins experienced strong volatility a few days ago and went back on the offensive a day ago but then stalled today. ETH for exampel dipped to $3300 before hitting $3500 a day ago. This became the highest price tag in three months and now the coin is hovering around $3500.

Terra is the biggest gainer from the top 10 coins with a 9% increase. LUNA registered a new high just days after the previous one and the latest peak came at $120. NEAR Protocol and Cosmos also made some similar gains on a daily scale and as such NEAR hit $17 while ATOM trades above $32. Solana, Ripple, Cardano, Binance Coin, Polkadot, DOGE, AVAX, and SHIB all showed more modest price movements. Moonbeam surged the most from the top 10 coins with a24% increase and CONVEX, Secret, Ecash, and Helium came up next.

The crypto marekt cap added another $30 billion a day ago and now stands at around $2.160 trillion. BTC went through a huge price drop at the end of the week and dumped from $47,500 to a multi-day low of over $44,000. The bulls intercepted the move and pushed the asset north but as such, BTC spiked to over $47,000 and failed to maintain the level as it retraced by a few thousand dollars. As of now, the crypto regained value and sits around $46,400 and the market cap remained below $900 billion while the dominance over the altcoins got reduced to under 41% because of their gains.

As recently reported, Bitcoin’s recent price surge continued in the past day and the asset touched and surpassed $48,000 for the first time in months with most altcoins calming down but Terra charted more gains and broke above $100 hitting a new high.
