Have you watched The Wolf Of Wall Street?
If yes, you definitely know who Jordan Belfort is. The guy known as the ‘wolf’ in the movie has had a lot of statements regarding Bitcoin. In a completely new statement, Belfort pointed to the leading cryptocurrency with hope.
In an interview with the entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David which was posted on Bet-David’s Facebook profile a couple of days ago, Belfort said that he doesn’t believe that Bitcoin (BTC) is a scam. However, he strongly believes that it was created by ‘financial anarchists’ and is a ‘perfect storm for manipulation’.
As he said in the interview:
“Something [BTC] was designed to be used as a currency, and it’s being used as an investment vehicle […] As a currency, Bitcoin is no more useful at $20,000 or $100.”
Despite his negative attitude when asked about the potential of manipulating crypto markets, Belfort spoke positively about the future of Bitcoin (at least before a certain price). As he predicted in his own words, “Bitcoin is a wolf in sheep’s clothing currently. It might go to $50,000 before it falls to zero.”
In September last year, Belfort pointed to Bitcoin being problematic because of the ease for hackers to steal it. In another interview, he said that ICOs were ‘the biggest scams ever’. In his latest interview, he told Bet-David that he hasn’t invested ‘even a penny’ in the leading cryptocurrency.
