As a new week unfolds in front of us, today’s crypto news show that nothing is changed in the market for the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin. In fact, most of the top 20 cryptocurrencies are seeing discreet losses this Monday while only a few report discreet gains.
Bitcoin, as the leader, is now trading under $3,900 again and failing to sustain its above $4,000 levels. Looking at the weekly chart, the price is lower than last Monday’s high of $4,271 and lower than $4,011 which is the price of Bitcoin one week ago. Still, the price is still up from the weekly low of $3,642 recorded this Friday.
The situation is also idle for Ripple (XRP) which is the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap. The altcoin has remained stable on the day and managed to gain only 0.004% remaining unchanged with a price that is right now higher than $0.367.
Ethereum (ETH) pushed with new gains yesterday and a market cap that is coming closer to Ripple’x one and one that could easily dethrone XRP from the second place of largest cryptocurrencies by market cap. On the day, Ethereum has seen a 2% increase and is now trading around $137.
The combined market capitalization is now equivalent to $129 billion which is better than the mid-week low of $120 billion but still worse than the $147 billion weekly high reported last Monday.
