Bitcoin Cash has been on a streak, surging to well over $3,000 in only two days. This has been in response to the news that the Bitcoin payment service BitPay has began accepting payments in Bitcoin Cash.
According to a blog post on the BitPay company blog, there has been a need for more currency options for merchants recently. Currently, one of the best ways to enforce that is through the “other Blockchains inspired by Bitcoin”.

The company decided to start with Bitcoin Cash (BCH), stating:
“We will begin adding support for a Bitcoin Cash payment option this year, starting with BitPay Card loads. All BitPay invoices will include a Bitcoin Cash payment option by default in early 2018.”
This news caused a strong increase in the trading volume of Bitcoin Cash as investors moved to buy more and more of the cryptocurrency on the expectation that the BitPay integration will increase the market adoption and usefulness of the service.
In numbers, this trend has made Bitcoin cash surge to $3,400 as it is currently, coming down from $1,302 on December 10th. That is more than 250% of pure growth in only 2 days.
As of Tuesday, the largest platform for making bitcoin transactions in the US, Coinbase, also began offering Bitcoin Cash payments on it. The offshoot of Bitcoin is also running on blockchain and has been very popular lately – so popular that it made the Bitcoin price sink while rising for hundreds of percents in a matter of hours.
Currently, Bitcoin Cash is too important to ignore – and is not just ‘another version’ of Bitcoin. It is a stable cryptocurrency on its own and most importantly, it is the third most popular and highest cryptocurrency in terms of market cap with $56 billion.
