Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, is again in the focus of the latest crypto news , this time for launching a private beta testing of a new crypto-fiat exchange in Singapore. As Changpeng Zhao revealed recently, the testing will be launched on September 18th.
He stated:
I just slipped that we will begin #Binance Singapore fiat exchange live money closed beta testing on Sept 18th, in 3 days. Invitation only first. Exciting! https://t.co/Hzo6jLLkfS

Meanwhile, some news sources say that prior to posting the news on Twitter, CZ first revealed the plans to launch the fiat exchange while speaking at a recent blockchain event led by a firm specializing in crypto assets named Cumberland. The conference also featured another disruptor – Tyler Winklevoss who is the founder and CEO of the Gemini exchange and one of the men behind the new dollar-pegged stablecoins named Gemini Dollar (GUSD).
Even though there are no further details specified, the crypto-fiat exchange based in Singapore will presumably support the local Singapore dollar. What’s interesting that this news comes after Singapore was ranked as the third most favourable country for Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) in terms of the number of top global ICO projects.
Meanwhile, Binance recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Malta Stock Exchange’s fintech and digital asset subsidiary, MSX PLC, to launch a new security token digital exchange in the near future.
