Roger Ver tells the supporters of the bitcoin cash infrastructure funding plan to support Dash instead as we are about to read in the latest Binance cash news.
The infrastructure funding plan for Bitcoin Cash plans to redistribute funding from miners to BCH developers and the idea grow controversial as the BCH leader Roger Ver and other community members started opposing the plan.
Despite the opposition, there’s some demand for the features and they are awaiting activation in the node software. The leader of the network Roger Ver tells the BCH supports to go sell their coins and purchase Dash in light of an upcoming change to the blockchain:
“There is already a peer to peer electronic cash cash coin with IFP. It’s called DASH. I suggest IFP supporters sell their BCH for DASH, and start working on that chain.”
His comments concern the Bitcoin Cash Infrastructure Funding Plan which is still a very heated debate, but it could arrive in November. The plan will direct 8% of the block rewards to developers and the funds will, in turn, deprive the miners of income. It’s still not clear whether Ver’s endorsement of Dash is serious or sarcastic but his point is clear. Dash uses a funding model that is similar to one of the IFP proponents in the BCH community. Dash allocates some of the mining rewards towards developers in a set of programmed rules.
One commenter noted that the approach Dash uses is more rigorous than IFP because the developers have to be approved by masternode operators before they receive funds. Ver replied that it sounds a lot better than the IFP proposal. The Bitcoin Cash community divided over the proposal which got dropped multiple times but then it reentered the spotlight again as the November upgrade approaches.
This week, Bitcoin ABC added IFP to the latest release of the Bitcoin Cash node software and ABC even listed the same features on Bitcoincash.org which is something that they have no right to do given that there are competing nods that oppose IFP. Support for the plan came mainly from the Chinese mining community which means that the feature already was built into future upgrades but it will ultimately be up to the miners to activate IFP in November. Even if BCH splits, it’s not clear how that will happen as it could devastate the reputation or it could prove that the network is strong enough to withstand a few splits.
