Binance and MDI ventures want to launch blockchain projects in Indonesia and also create a cryptocurrency exchange as well as we can see more in today’s binance news.
The world’s leading crypto exchange Binance and MDI Ventures partnered together to expand the blockchain ecosystem in the Asian country by launching a new digital asset exchange. The trading venue has been in talks with PT Central Bank Asia controlled by the brothers Michael and Budi Hartono which is the richest family in Indonesia as well as PT Telekom Indonesia with the three parties aiming to create a blockchain venture on the island and encourage mass crypto adoption in the part of the world.
The discussion seems to be a major success since Binance said in a press release that it will create a digital asset exchange in the region with the initaitive being supported by MDI Ventures which is basically an $830 million company and the capital branch of Telekom Indonesia. As a part of the partnership, Binance will provide management infrastructure and technology to support the development of the new platform while MDI Ventures operates the biggest financial technology ecosystems and has access to more than 170 million consumers in the region.
The founder of binance Changpeng Zhao predicted that this initiative could place Indonesia as one of the leaders in the Asian crypto space:
“We are thrilled to name MDI as our latest partner in the region. With their depth of experience in the market, we are confident that we will deliver leading products for users locally.”
The CEO of MDI Ventures said that the digital assets and blockchain technology Donald Wihardja will be a crucial part of the future monetary network:
“We look forward to growing with Binance and our investment partners and bridging the opportunities and technologies to Telkom to help upgrade Indonesia’s capabilities in this digital infrastructure.”
According to reprots, the leading crypto exchange aims to create a blockchain center in Singapore via Binance Asia Services. As one of the goals in the mission, the company will explore the initiatives like blockchain education, incubation program, and more investment opportunities. At the same time, Binance announced it will withdraw the application to the Monetary Authority of Singapore for a license to operate a regulated exchange so binance will shut down by February 13th.
