Verifone joins Forces with BitPay crypto wallet in order to start providing in-store crypto payments as we are reading more in our latest crypto news today.
The American fintech company Verifone will enable crypto payment options to the clients thanks to teh new collaboration with the BTC payment service provider BitPay and will be available this year as initially it will be introduced in the US. As per the recent press release, teh solution will allow customers to employ crypto settlements on the Verifone in-store and eCommerce Cloud Service platforms in the USA.

The offering will enable merchants to broaden their customer base and to promote digital asset acceptance so they won’t have to open an account with BitPay as crypto payments will come right from Verifone. The services will include six of the biggest cryptocurrencies by market cap together with five USD-pegged stablecoins and these are BTC, ETH, BCH, WBTC, DOGE, LTC, USDC, GUSD, ISDP, BUSD, and DAI. The consumers will use the new offering but will have to select their preferred crypto wallet like BitPay, BTD, Metamask, or Blockchain.Com on a Verifone device and scan the on-screen QR Code upon teh checkout.
Stephen Pair as the co-founder and CEO of BitPay commented that Verifone’s merchant base includes prominent brands that are increased in joining the crypto trend. Jeremy Belostcok who is the head of APMs at Verifone pointed out that the appetite for crypto payments exploded over the year and added:
“Together we have solved all the potential challenges for merchants: There’s no volatility or fraud chargeback risk, low implementation costs, and consumers will find the payment experience very seamless.”
The tech giant Apple notified the users that they could spend BTC through Apple Pay and clarified that this option is available via BitPay cards that will be added to an Apple Wallet. As reported recently, Magnum Real Estate Group also allowed buyers to use BTC for the purchase of three ground-level shops worth $29 and BitPay will now process the future crypto transactions. Another great example came from the e-commerce portal Shop.com and partnered with BitPay permitting the customers to close these purchases with BTC and other altcoins.
