In the latest digital currency news, we are listing the best performing altcoins this year. Even though 2018 turned out to be a bear market and time when crypto lost a lot of capitalization, we believe that 2019 will bring back the focus on fundamentals – and these altcoins may lead the way.
Ethereum (ETH)
Ethereum (ETH) is attempting a major comeback after handing the second place to Ripple (XRP) a few weeks ago. Currently, Ethereum is making giant strides and is the top performer among the major cryptocurrencies. Some analysts expect the cryptocurrency to rise to $200 very soon – even though it is hard to predict such an event.
Ethereum Classic (ETC)
The second best performer among the best cryptocurrencies is Ethereum Classic (ETC). Its bull run showed that the altcoin is breaking out of the downtrend line and could rally to its next resistance level of $9.5 – or slide to the recent low of $3.3.
Stratis (STRAT)
Stratis is an altcoin positioned on the 40th place in terms of market capitalization. The past few months have been full of announcements by the Stratis group, after the company partnered with MediConnect and became a certified Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV).
Even though the STRAT/USD pair suffered a 97% loss with the market crackdown, it managed to rise from its low of $0.533 to a new high of $1.844 recently, surging more than 240% in only 10 days.
NEO (NEM)
The NEO/USD pair is in a strong downtrend. It managed to drop to $5 from a high of $200 in mid-January’s market blossoming. Currently, NEO is attempting to pull back from its oversold conditions. If that thing happens, NEO could start the year fresh and with new gains.
There are many other cryptocurrencies which should be included in this list such as IOTA, Cardano, Binance Coin etc. However, we strongly believe that the above mentioned are the best performers and one of the altcoins that can start the new year in the green.
