Terra’s LUNA Pushed DOT Out Of The Top 10, BTC Still Below $48K

Terra’s LUNA pushed DOT out of the top 10 coins while the token continues its impressive performance with a 14% surge as we can see more today in our latest altcoin news.

Following the sub $46,000 dip, BTC bounced of and sits somewhere above $47,000. The altcoins are also in the green with Terra’s LUNA outperforming the rest of the double-digit surge. The altcoins suffered a lot since the start of December since the massive crash two weeks ago. ETH went from $4,700 to $3,500 in one day and though it has recovered a lot of ground since then and stands below $4000.

On a daily scale, the situation is more positive for most as Binance Coin stands at $540 after a 2.2% increase with Solana increasing 4.5%, Cardano by 3%, Ripple by 1%, Polkadot by 1%, DOGE by 1%, and SHIB also by 1% still in the green. Terra’s LUNA pushed DOT out of the top 10 as it surged 14% in one day and neared $75. As a result, the asset entered the top 10 biggest cryptocurrencies by market cap and replaced Polkadot. More gains on a 24-hour scale come from Hedera that gained 12%, Decred by 14%, Harmony by 10%, and Cosmos by 9%.

The main cryptocurrency also had quite the volatility as it failed at ,000 with the bears pushing it south by a few thousand dollars in the upcoming days.

This culminated in two consecutive drops below $46,000 and the latest came a day ago as BTC retraced to the dump 24 hours ago spiking to $48,000. It couldn’t continue upwards and retrace by $1000 but its market cap is still stuck below $900 billion.

Also as reported recently, LUNA enters the top 10 biggest digital assets while other altcoins struggled in the past few days. Ethereum dumped from $4600 to $3500 during the Saturday crash but bounced off and reclaimed $4000. On the daily scale, ETH is down by 1% and now stands at over $4300. Cardano, Polkadot, Dogecoin, Avalanche, and SHIB are in the red since a day ago and in contrast, Binance coin and Ripple marked slight gains. Terra on the other hand surged by more than 10% and LUNA now trades at $75 with a few inches away from registering a new all-time high which is now set at $78 according to CoinGecko.

Bitcoin has a hard time near $50K as it attempted another increase over the past day but was stopped at $52,000 and retraced to over $50,000. Most of the altcoins stalled since the increases yesterday with a few exceptions like Tezos that surged by 30% in one day on the Ubisoft news.
