Sonny Singh, the chief commercial officer from BitPay said:
“Crypto offers merchants like Slide a huge opportunity to attract new customers and sales, and with the recent run up in the value of Bitcoin, we are expecting a significant jump in spending for the holiday season as it’s a great time to add crypto as a payment option.”
BitPay accepts four of the world’s biggest crypto assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple and Bitcoin Cash. In addition, the platform accepts USDC, GUSD, PAX, and BUSD. Slide was created by Raise Marketplace that started offering customers a chance to save money and to earn rewards on store purchases right from their mobile wallets. According to the CEO of Raise Marketplace, Jay Klauminzer, the addition of crypto payments is huge news for the mainstream use of crypto assets during the holidays:
“With Slide, crypto users can spend their funds on everyday items and holiday gifts from brands that don’t traditionally accept crypto.”
Slide customers will have the chance to generate cashback savings by using the Slide app. All crypto funds deposited ahead of time will earn a 1% or 5% in total on every purchase as Singh added:
“Bitpay allows Slide to accept crypto as a form of payment without having to hold crypto or pay the high fees associated with traditional payment methods.”
As recently reported, Crypto payment service provider BitPay, has just launched BitPay send which is a new blockchain-powered mass payout platform for businesses. The platform will allow organizations that don’t want to handle or own any crypto themselves to process crypto payments nonetheless
