Samsung goes deeper into the metaverse thanks to Decentraland’s MANA capabilities but what does that mean exactly, let’s find out in today’s blockchain news.
The Korean company will now open the Samsung 837x Metaverse experience adapted from the company’s New York City location. The company introduced a new feature allowing clients to virtually attend guests and live music events so the new experience is modeled on the physical flagship location in New York.
According to an announcement, the Korean company described the feature as an immersive world that can be explored virtually. The Samsung metaverse is an experimental playground for people that want to discover the amazing possibilities when technology and culture collide. The fans that want to take advantage of the opportunity will have to enter Decentraland first which is a leading virtual reality platform based on the Ethereum blockchain. The company explained:
“Best of all, you can earn NFT badges and exclusive, limited-supply collections of Samsung Decentraland wearables to customize your avatars.”
Samsung 837X will be open in the Decentraland for a limited period. In 2022, the company intends to bring the experience to more people by launching a new metaverse approach on the platform. Michelle Crossan Matos who is the Senior Vice President for Corporate Marketing and Communications at Samsung noted:
“At Samsung 837X, we’re excited to tell our connectivity, sustainability, and customization stories in a novel way, in a one-of-a-kind space. Metaverse empowers us to transcend physical and spatial limits to create unique virtual experiences that could not happen otherwise. Innovation is in our DNA, and we can’t wait for you all to experience this burgeoning virtual world.”
A few days ago, the Korean entity announced its plans to jump on the NFT train. To achieve the goal, Samsung will integrate a new NFT aggregation platform on its TVs and the feature will be available on the MicroLed, NEO QLED, and the Frame Versions so the users will be able to buy digital collectibles from the TV Sets directly. Assuming the company completes the missions it will become the first in the field with a move. The technology giant was quite active in crypto lately. Earlier this week, it partnered with Veritree which is a blockcahin platform powered by Cardano to battle the effects of climate change.
Samsung goes deeper into the Metaverse space and vowed to mobilize the growth of more than 2 million trees in Madagascar by the end of the first quarter of 2022. Mark Newton as the Managing director at the company said:
“Investing in tech innovations, such as those that create efficiency improvements and minimize waste, in combination with nature-based solutions, are vital in the fight against climate change.”
