The Opera crypto browser is available on iPads and iPhones as of late and even though the Android users were able to access the browser, more than a billion Apple users can download it via the App Store so let’s read more today in our latest crypto news.
Opera released a beta version of the Web3 browser in a built-in wallet on Friday for IOS devices, iPad, and iPhone. Opera’s crypto browser was available for Mac and Windows desktop users but also Android mobile users since January. The mobile release is the biggest step in the crypto browser proejct and Web3-focused initiative for the navigation across decentralized applications, metaverse platforms, and games.
According to the company, the main features include the Opera Wallet has support for Polygon, Ethereum, and Celo ecosystems to buy and sell tokens. The users can restore more Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible wallets with the native Opera wallet and integrate the existing asset and balance. On the browser’s homepage users can see the latest NFT sales and the news aggregator dubbed Crypto Corner that shows live updates about the crypto prices and gas fees as well as airdrops and more educational resources.
The company said that the browser came with a crypto mining protection that blocks “cryptojacking” scripts that could compromise the device’s performance and other security features including a native AD and tracker blocker but also an intuitive Cookie Dialogue blocker. According to the EVP Mobile at Opera Jorgen Arnesen, the browser targets the interest in the Web3 from both newcomers and veteran crypto users:
“The Opera Crypto Browser Project was built to simplify the Web3 user experience that has often been bewildering for mainstream users. Opera believes Web3 has to be easy to use in order to reach its full potential and a mass adoption.”
The browser company added more support for eight major blockchain ecosystems like BTC, StarkEx, Ronin, Polygon, Solana, Celo, Nervos Network, and IXO so Opera said that it has plans to integrate even more PoS chains in the future. Opera also partnered with Yat which is a platform that allows the creation of the emoji-based web addresses or URLs and this emojitifcation allows the users to surf the web on the platform by entering certified Yats or a string of other emojis into the URL bar rather than letters and words.
