NSA Is Building A Quantum-Resistant Cryptocurrency: Report

The National Security Agency of the United States (NSA) is apparently working on developing a cryptocurrency which will be quantum resistant. As a claim made in a tweet by Bloomberg Technology showed, NSA is building a new cryptocurrency which will shake things up in the crypto industry.

The tweet was originally made by the reporter William Turton on September 4, who was present at the Billington CyberSecurity 10th annual summit in Washington, DC. As he hinted with the tweet which made it everywhere in the altcoin news, the agency’s apparent plans are as following:

“Anne Neuberger, Director of NSA’s new Cybersecurity Directorate says that the agency will propose hardware and software standards again. Also notes agency is working to build quantum resistant crypto.”

So, it is clear and evident that NSA is building a quantum-resistant cryptocurrency. She was also featured on many best cryptocurrency news sites for stating that the agency’s newly established Cybersecurity Directorate (which will start working on October) will focus on mitigating the threat of influence operations by Russia and the intellectual property theft and cyber-espionage attacks from China.

While NSA is building a new cryptocurrency, we can certainly say that the world of crypto has become part and parcel of stealth cyber warfare and global intelligence operations. All of this raised the prospect that any state agency who wins the arms race in developing a quantum-resistant cryptocurrency could secure a geopolitical edge for its  country.
